Lili’s interest in working with RACCE stems from her commitment to her community as a Waterbury native. She is a product of the public school system, once a part-time worker at the Brass Mills Mall and now educator at a college campus located downtown. Being from Waterbury has been a huge part of her upbringing, and she wants to work for and serve her fellow community members. The powers that be work hard to minimize the voices and needs of black, brown, and LGBTQ+ students, and she want to assure them that there are people who are fighting to dismantle the systems which maintain their marginalization.
